Ok, here I go again. In the first picture I centered my niece and it is harder to see the beautiful background. In the second picture I used the rule of thirds and had her set to the left of the picture. As you can see, more of the background is visable.

Here is the same image of my niece, but instead of using the rule of thirds I centered her in the picture. Now you cannot see as much of the beautiful background. I used the portrait setting for this picture as well.

Here is a picture that I took of my niece last fall. Here you can see that I used the rule of thirds and you are able to see more of the background and she still is very clear in the image. I believe that I used the portrait setting.
